MISSIONS

COOPERATIVE BAPTIST FELLOWSHIP

“The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is a Christian network of individuals and churches working together to spread the hope of Christ. Our diverse community includes partners all over the globe, and our fellowship supports a wide range of missions and ministries that give people meaningful opportunities to put their faith into action.”

COOPERATIVE BAPTIST FELLOWSHIP OF VIRGINIA

“Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Virginia is a Christian network of churches and individuals motivated by Jesus Christ; inspired by our unique Baptist heritage; invested in forming healthy congregations; committed to mission engagement at home and abroad; and sustained by partnership and collaboration.”

ST. LUKE COMMUNITY CLINIC

“St. Luke Community Clinic is a nonprofit, community-based organization of volunteers and professional staff committed to providing high-quality health care services to low-income, uninsured residents of Front Royal and Warren County, VA.  St. Luke is a charitable-care clinic and charges a nominal fee for its services.  The clinic provides chronic and acute care and is not equipped to treat medical emergencies.”

HOUSE OF HOPE MEN’S PROGRAM

“The only residential rehabilitation program serving men in Warren County, Virginia, opening the door to hope and housing.

Founded in 2008, House of Hope is a 24-hour facility at 724 Warren Avenue. The residence has 16 beds and is alcohol and drug free.  We provide showers, food, clothing, laundry facilities, case management, consultation, referrals, job counseling, outreach and support on all levels, to nurture body, mind and soul.”

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

“Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through our 2020 Strategic Plan, Habitat for Humanity will serve more people than ever before through decent and affordable housing.”

C-CAP

“The primary mission of C-CAP Front Royal is to provide essential, safety net, provisions during limited periods of need for Warren County families. The focus of this primary mission is on food and clothing. Within that focus C-CAP also provides special services such as the “Fresh Foods” program designed to serve all families, but particularly those with young children with no or limited access to fresh foods, produce, fruits and related nutritious food.

A secondary mission is designed around services for emergency and time-limited assistance for utility support and assistance with selected doctor ordered prescriptions. These services are very limited and available only when income donations are available to meet the demand for services. In all cases, C-CAP services are provided as a “safety net” for families passing through a period when they need the kinds of assistance C-CAP provides from year to year. C-CAP services will not be available to client for extended periods of time. All services are managed to ensure fairness and efficiency so that the majority of all donations go to those in need rather than for administrative overhead costs.”

LACES FOR FACES

“First Baptist Church started Laces for Faces in 2014 to provide tennis shoes to children in our area whose families do not have the means to purchase new shoes. If you have a child who needs tennis shoes for the new school year that is in elementary or middle school, gift cards will be available for the shoes while supplies last (children must be accompanied by an adult).”

THERMAL SHELTER OF FRONT ROYAL, VA

“During the winter months it is very difficult to survive sleeping outside! However, there are members of our community who had no other option, until now. We began the Thermal Shelter of Front Royal for our homeless population, who have "fallen through the cracks,” to have a warm place to rest their heads at night, have food in their bellies, and know that there are people who care about them!”
